Upon Reflection by Sarahorsomeone Upon Reflection by Sarahorsomeone
An origami swan on a mirrored surface (I made the swan myself and was rather pleased with it, so I guess it's two artworks in one).

I'm amazed how contrasty this came out, I've added a blue tint to the shadows in post-processing but the contrast is pretty much how it came from the camera.

With thanks to:

Thanks to ~Martian-Headquarters for help with the lighting and letting me borrow his camera.

~ErosUnknown-Stock for the pattern printed on the paper [link]

Okay now, that is nifty! I love the reflection, and to be honest, at first, I thought it looked like music notes/sheet music. It's quite intriguing. The reflection is really nice, the only thing I would suggest there is maybe a little bit of ripple or some way of showing the water there a little more 'clearly'. Also, I am quite fond of the darkness surrounding it, not only does it draw attention right to the bird, center, it also casts shadows nicely upon the entire photo. Other than that I have no real suggestions, nice work

Thanks.. and the only problem with showing the water: it wasn't actually taken on water ;).

crazy! it looks like water to me

I read it was on a mirror surface, I remember reading that, but I thought maybe you added water to the top of it or something.

That makes me love it more!
